Curtis was born in
Jacksonville, Fl and graduated from The Bolles School in 1992. He
attended The University of Florida, and a study abroad program through
Florida State University in London, UK where he finished top of his
class. Curtis graduated from The
University of North Florida in 1998 with a degree in Business Management
and a minor in International Business.
Curtis began his
insurance career with The St. Paul Insurance Company in Atlanta, working
as an assistant in their Small Commercial Underwriting Division. He
returned to Jacksonville in 1999, and began working for Insurance
Resource Alliance, Inc. as a registered representative, specializing in
life insurance, long-term care, and financial products. He began work
for Greene-Hazel & Associates, as an Account Executive, in January of
2001.
Curtis
is involved in a number of community service activities. He is the
current Chairman of the Endowed Scholarship Committee for the University
of North Florida Athletic Department, and an active board member on the
UNF Osprey Club Executive Board.
He also has volunteered
with the Bolles School Alumni Board and Mayor John Peyton's transition
team for the City of Jacksonville. He is the Secretary for the
River Garden Foundation Board, and has been a volunteer with The Players
Championship for over 10 years.
Curtis holds insurance
licenses in Property Casualty, Life, Health and Variable Annuities, as
well as a Series 6 securities license. He completed the National
Alliance’s Producer Development School at the University of
Massachusetts in 2001, finishing 2nd in the class of 54
producers. He recently completed his Certified
Insurance Counselor designation in May 2005.
Curtis and his wife, Jenny, live in St Augustine, and have
two children, McKenna Grace and their newest arrival,
Jackson. They enjoy spending time with family
and friends, and taking advantage of all of the natural amenities North
Florida has to offer.
