Leigh was born in Orlando, Florida and raised in Millington, Tennessee. She attended Millington Central High School and received her Associate in Arts from Florida Community College of Jacksonville in 1993 and her Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management from Southern Illinois University in 1999. She began her insurance carrier with a small insurance agency in Millington, TN then moved to San Francisco, CA where she worked for Frank B. Hall & Company in their property and casualty division. Moving to Jacksonville, Florida in 1985, she worked with several independent agencies before transitioning to the Life and Health industry in 1994. Prior to joining Greene-Hazel & Associates, Ms. Mills was Vice President and primary consultant for a broker providing life, health, dental and disability insurance coverage to the healthcare industry. She has worked directly with COBRA, HIPAA, and FMLA administration. Her prior work experience also includes Risk Manager of a home health agency, Risk Management Consulting and Office Manager of a Property and Casualty Insurance broker. Ms. Mills has earned the Accredited Adviser in Insurance (AAI), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designations. She is currently working on her Certified Employee Benefit Specialists (CEBS) designation. Additionally, she holds both Life and Health, and Property and Casualty licenses through the Florida Department of Insurance. An involved member of the community, Ms. Mills is active in the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and has served on the Bishop Kenny Auction Committee for the past three years. She is the 2005 Chair of Corporate Sponsorship for America’s Walk for Diabetes and is a member of the American Diabetes Association Executive Council. Leigh is married and has two daughters.
