 Theresa hails from Mount Airy, North Carolina, better known as “Mayberry”. She is a graduate of Mount Airy Senior High School and attended Western Carolina University. Theresa began her insurance career with Prudential Insurance Company in 1967 but soon moved from the Health Insurance into the Property and Casualty arena when she joined Liberty Mutual in 1969. Through her career advancement, she held positions with several local independent insurance agencies and prior to her departure to form Greene-Hazel & Associates, Inc. held the title of Vice President, Marketing for the Marsh & McLennan Jacksonville office.
Since forming Greene-Hazel & Associates with her husband and partner, Tom, Theresa has assumed a very active role in Insurance Carrier/Agency relations. She recently completed her 2nd term on CNA’s PACER Agents Advisory Committee , serving as Chairman for the Florida Branch . She has previously served as Chairman of the St. Paul Insurance Companies Advisory Council for Family and Business Insurance an d the Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company Agents Advisory Committee . Most recently she was appointed to the FCCI Agents Advisory Council. She has served as a director for the Independent Insurance Agents of Northeast Florida and was the founding President of the Insurance Professionals of Northeast Florida in 1983.
Theresa also takes a very active interest in her community, having served as the Tournament Chairman for the 1999 Players Championship Golf Tournament and chairing the THE PLAYERS Scholarship Committee.
Theresa has been the recipient of numerous awards for her industry and work achievements; Recipient of the 2007 Insurance Professional of the Year, Recognized as 2004 Woman of Influence by Jacksonville Business Journal; 1999 recipient of the YWCA Tribute to Women Award; 1993 Finalist Florida Times Union Eve Award-Category Employment Achievement; 1989 Insurance Women of Northeast Florida Executive of the Year; 1982 Insurance Women of Jacksonville Education Award. She is a licensed Property and Casualty Agent as well as a licensed Surplus Lines Agent and holds both the Associate in Risk Management designation as well as Certified Professional Insurance Woman.
Theresa and her husband, Tom, have four children, Kevin Greene, Chip Greene, Curtis Hazel, Angela Hazel Goldsmith, and seven grandchildren. |

Tom Hazel

Tom grew up in Orlando, Florida and attended Edgewater High School. He is a 1965 graduate of the University of South Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in marketing. Tom is very proud of his duty with the U.S. Marine Corp having served actively from 1966 through 1969 including a tour in Vietnam and continuing his involvement in the Reserves for an additional 20 years—retiring at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in 1989. Immediately upon discharge from active duty, he began his insurance career with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. After working there for 5 years, he moved into the Independent Agency system working for several locally owned agencies. Prior to he and his partner, Theresa, forming Greene-Hazel & Associates in 1984, he was a Vice-President with Marsh & McLennan in Jacksonville. Tom is a strong community supporter. He has served on the Jacksonville University Council as well as the University of North Florida Foundation. In addition to service to local universities, he was the 2000 president of the River Garden Foundation and maintains an active membership with the Chamber of Commerce Cornerstone Committee, the Insurance Agents of Northeast Florida, along with numerous other clubs and affiliations. He is Past President of Sales & Marketing Executives of Jacksonville as well as the Marine Corps Reserve Officers Association. He was honored in 1992 as Executive of the year by the Insurance Professionals of Northeast Florida. He is licensed for both Property and Casualty as well as Group Life and Health Insurance. He obtained both the Certified Insurance Counselor designation and completed all phases of the Associate in Risk Management curriculum as outlined by the Insurance Institute of America. He and his wife, Theresa, have four children-Curtis Hazel, Angela Hazel Goldsmith, Kevin Greene and Chip Greene and six Grandchildren. When not spending time in the Agency, Tom enjoys golfing and boating. |

 A native of Florida, Chip was born and raised in Jacksonville, graduated from Bishop Kenny High School and earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida.
In 2000, he began his insurance career with Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company in Alpharetta, GA where he was an Assistant Excess Casualty Underwriter. In 2002, Chip was promoted to Specialty Underwriter in the Inland/Ocean Marine & Commercial Property Department. In 2004, Chip relocated back to his hometown of Jacksonville and joined Greene-Hazel & Associates where today he serves as President.
Chip currently serves as a Director for the Florida Association of Insurance Agents (FAIA), serves as the Immediate Past President of the Independent Insurance Agents of Northeast Florida (IIANF) and is a graduate of the Florida Association of Insurance Agents – “Florida’s Future Insurance Leaders” Developmental Program. Chip is a current member in good standing with following organizations: University of Florida Foundation - Jacksonville Advisory Council, Jacksonville Oceanside Rotary Club, Florida Association of Insurance Agents - Young Agents Council and the Jacksonville Gator Club. He is the Chairman of Committee Sales for the Gator Bowl Association, a volunteer for The PLAYERS Championship and an active board member for Dreams Come True: a local non-profit granting life-changing dreams for children battling life-threatening illnesses.

Brad Bush

 Brad was born in Connecticut, and graduated from Tufts University in Medford, Mass. with a double major in Economics and Sociology. He started his insurance career in the Home Office Surety Department of Cigna Insurance Company in Philadelphia, PA. After a tour in the Tampa, Florida service office and a return trip to the Cigna Home office, Brad accepted a position with The Home Insurance Company in Atlanta, GA as the Southeastern Regional Bond Manager. In 1994, Brad made the move to the insurance agency business and joined Greene-Hazel & Associates, Inc. in 2004.

Ilyse Vaughan

 Ilyse was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland where she attended and graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast/Journalism in 2002.
In January of 2004, Ilyse moved to Jacksonville and began her insurance career with a local Independent Agency, where she was an Account Manager in the Commercial Lines department. In May of 2006, Ilyse was promoted to a Sales Executive role . Ilyse joined Greene-Hazel & Associates in June of 2007 as a Sales Executive.
Ilyse is a Member of the Florida Association of Insurance Agents Young Agents Council, she sits on the board for the IIANF, Independent Insurance Agents of North Florida, The Urban Land Institute of Jacksonville , The Jacksonville Jewish Federation and Hadassah. She is also a volunteer for the National Down Syndrome Society.
She is a licensed Property and Casualty Agent and holds the Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist designation as well as the Construction Risk Insurance Specialist designation.
Ilyse strives to be different in her industry by building personal relationships with her clients that help her to better understand what it is they are looking for in a Risk Manager.

Kyle Whitman

 Kyle Whitman graduated in 2001 from Florida State University with a degree in Risk Management & Insurance. He then went to work for Zurich Insurance Services, Inc. (ZIS) for 3 years in multiple capacities. Kyle started in the small business unit as a service representative then transitioned to a project coordinator position where he helped coordinate the systems and processes for new products ZIS was handling. Kyle’s final position with Zurich was in the environmental and specialty unit where he served in marketing and sales positions.
In June of 2004, Kyle was hired by Cecil W. Powell & Co. as a Producer in Training. He spent the first 4 months learning the agency side of the business and then was moved into the small business unit where he serviced, marketed and sold new business.
Kyle then joined Fletcher|Stein Risk Management & Insurance in April of 2006 as an Account Executive. In his new position Kyle was in charge of the marketing and sales of his own accounts as well as the in-bound calls to the agency.
Kyle joined Greene-Hazel & Associates in November of 2009 as an Account Executive. He currently holds an Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) designation and is working towards his Construction Risk Insurance Specialist (CRIS) certification. Kyle is also currently serving as the President of the Independent Insurance Agents of North Florida.

 Mike was born in Jacksonville, Florida. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Clemson University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia.
Mike has 10 years of experience in the Engineering, Construction, and Development industries. Mike joined Greene-Hazel & Associates as a Sales Executive in March of 2010, and he is a licensed General Lines Agent (2-20) in the State of Florida.
When not serving his clients, spending time with his family, fishing, or golfing, Mike takes an active role in his community. Mike has been a member of the Gator Bowl Committee for over 5 years and currently serves as the Chairman of Community Outreach for the Gator Bowl Association. Mike is active with the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce, serving on the Cornerstone Business Development Committee, and with the First Coast Manufacturers Association, serving on its Governmental Affairs Committee. In 2009, Mike was appointed by Jacksonville’s Mayor John Peyton to serve a four-year term on the Taxation, Revenue, and Utilization of Expenditures (TRUE) Commission.

Mr. Napoleon joined Greene-Hazel in November of 2011 with nine years of insurance & risk consulting experience. A graduate of the University of Georgia, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in General Business Administration. While at Georgia he was a member of the UGA Golf Team and went on to play professionally for five years after Graduation. Currently, he holds a FL General Lines Property & Casualty Insurance (2-20) license and a Life, Health, and Variable Annuity (2-15) license through the Florida Department of Insurance. He holds an Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) designation, an Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation, and a Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU) designation. Insurance professionals holding the AAI/ARM/RPLU designations are able to offer clients advanced technical knowledge of insurance products and services. Clients can experience cost-savings that result from Mr. Napoleon’s increased comprehension of risk-management techniques gained through this specialized training. Active in the Jacksonville community, Mr. Napoleon is an eight year volunteer with The Players Championship, is the committee chair for the Riverside Presbyterian Day School Dad’s Club, serves on the Greens Committee at Timuquana CC, and is the Committee Chair for the Charity Project with the Meninak Club. Mr. Napoleon was a member of the Leadership Jacksonville class of 2007 and has been recognized by the Jacksonville Business Journal as one of the 40 under 40 most promising “Up and Comers”. Mr. Napoleon Is married to Kerri Cannon Napoleon and they have a six year old son Ryan. They live in Avondale section of Jacksonville and enjoy food, wine, travel, and the outdoors. |

 Rich was born in Atlanta, Georgia, moved to Florida and graduated from Wolfson High School in 1974. He subsequently received his Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Florida State University in 1978.
Rich began his insurance career in 1978 with Donovon Insurance and joined Gaskin O’Leary Insurance in 1989. With the merger of Gaskin O’Leary and Greene-Hazel & Associates in 1992, Rich joined our organization as an Account Executive.
He is an active board member of the Renaissance Behavioral Health Systems as well as the Mental Health Resource Center. He is past president of the Florida Sailing Association; past Commodore of the Rudder Club and member of the Training Committee for the U.S. Sailing Association. In his spare time he likes to sail! Rich is licensed as a Property and Casualty Agent, Surplus Line Agent and a Life and Health Agent. He holds a CPCU- Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter designaton as well as an AAI- Accredited Advisor of Insurance designation.

 Bob was born in Greensboro, North Carolina and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1977 with a B.S. degree in Business and Economics.
He joined Pilot Life Insurance Company in the Group Insurance Sales and Service
Department in 1978. During his tenure with Pilot Life, Bob rose to the rank of Regional Manager and in 1989 left to join Greene-Hazel & Associates as Manager of the Benefits Department.
Bob is past President of the International Society of Certified Employee Benefits Specialists-Jacksonville Chapter. He is an active volunteer at the Players Championship and a member of the Gator Bowl Committee. Bob is a licensed Life and Health Agent and holds the designation of CEBS, Certified Employee Benefits Specialist.

 David is a second generation Jacksonville native. He received his Risk Management Insurance degree from Florida State University in 1981. After graduating he worked as a marketing representative for Independent Fire Insurance Company. In 1987 he joined Allstate Insurance as an underwriter before moving to sales in 1989. He operated a successful Allstate agency until June 2000 when he sold the agency to work with a local independent agency.
David joined Greene-Hazel in 2003 to manage the personal lines department. He earned the professional designation of Accredited Adviser in Insurance (AAI) in October of 2002.
David lives in Jacksonville Beach with his wife Judi. They have three children. |
